Santa Rosa Island Triathlon

Registration is now open for the 2011 SRITRI. Simply click “Registration” above and then click on the appropriate button to either register online (at www.imATHLETE.com) or to download a manual entry form that can be mailed in with your payment. After last-year’s tremendous success, we expect a sold-out field of 1000 for the 2011 event.

Amy Kloner Crosses The Finish Line

DON’T forget that this year’s race shares the weekend with three other great events: The Pensacola Beach Songwriter’s Festival, the Pensacola Beach Arts and Wine Festival and the Sea Turtle Triathlon for kids. The SRITRI and these three fine events will make this a GREAT destination weekend!!

This will be my second Triathlon by th etme I get there and I want to know do are times for swimming, biking and running start and stop at each event with time to go to the next and change gear and shoes? OR is it nonstop clock….and you just use the same gear and just race from start to finish?

  4. Charles says:

Hi Russ, there are five segments to triathlon: Swim, Transition 1 (T1), Bike, Transition 2 (T2), Run (and then finish). You are timed from when you go in the water until you cross the Finish Line. You will receive splits for each of the five segments. You change gear in T1 and T2. You can email me with any questions at charlesgheen@gmail.com. There are many first-timer websites – one I liked when I started triathlon was http://www.trinewbies.com. I still recommend it. Charles
