Pensacola Beach is owned by Escambia County, Florida, and is under the direction of the Santa Rosa Island Authority (SRIA). They are the governing body on the Island and are an essential component in assuring that we have well organized, safe race. In addition to safety they provide funding as a Sponsor of the event.

Bamboo Willie’s is one of our best beach bars on Pensacola Beach. They do a bang up job on our pre-race pasta dinner. The dinner however has just been moved to the ground level of the Hemingway’s ( part of the Bamboo Willie’s family) at the Bimini Bar on the sound side from 5-8 at . Purchase your dinner tickets at Packet Pick-up in the Hampton Inn. Good, cheap and fun. Check it out!

Course Description

Course:

Swim: 600 yards in the Gulf of Mexico. If the conditions are not safe the swim will be located across the street in the Santa Rosa Sound. You go out into the surf from a run then swim across and them come back into the beach.

Bike: 18 mile flat fast course. Nine miles out heading east on Via De Luna into the National Seashore and then nine miles back.

Run: 3.1 miles down Via de Luna into the scenic gulf-side neighborhoods, finishing back at Casino Beach Road by The Dock.
